The Connecticut Sun (12-5) earned their fourth-consecutive victory with an 86-80 win over the Indiana Fever (1-16). This marks the 12th-straight loss for the Fever, whose regression is on full display this season. Brionna Jones led all scorers with a career-high 34 points and added seven rebounds.

The Sun opened up an 18-point lead at the half and were never credibly threatened throughout the second half despite being outscored 43-31. Connecticut was not particularly strong from the 3-point line, just 5-of-20. However, its 55 percent (24-of-43) performance on 2-point field goals buoyed its victory. The Sun made the Fever pay when they turned the ball over, scoring 25 points on Indiana’s 15 turnovers.

Jonquel Jones scored 19 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field and the strength of a 10-of-10 performance from the charity stripe. DeWanna Bonner rounded out the double-figure scorers for Connecticut with 14 points.

For the Fever, Kelsey Mitchell scored 21 points. It was her fifth 20-point game of the season. Tiffany Mitchell added 18 points while Danielle Robinson posted 10 and recorded seven assists. The Fever shot 48.6 percent but were just 2-of-9 from beyond the arc. They were not nearly as efficient in converting turnovers to points as they scored 12 points off the Sun’s 15 turnovers.
