On Sunday, Texas junior forward/center Charli Collier told ESPN that she has decided to enter the 2021 WNBA Draft.
Collier is 6-foot-5 and is expected to go No. 1 overall to the Dallas Wings. She is from Mont Belvieu, Texas, which is in the Houston area.
Collier can stretch the floor and take 3-point shots and is also a phenomenal inside scorer and rebounder. She is currently averaging a double-double of 20.9 points and 12.2 rebounds per game for 2020-21 and averaged a double-double last year as well. She shot 28-of-79 (35.4 percent) from distance as a sophomore. She was the No. 2 recruit in the Hoop Gurlz Class of 2018 and played alongside 2020 WNBA Draft picks Joyner Holmes and Sug Sutton while they were at Texas. Holmes went at No. 19 overall and ended up playing for the New York Liberty last year, while Sutton went No. 36 overall but also made a roster, that of the Washington Mystics.
