Recap: Eighth seed scenarios get interesting as Sky defeat Wings
Heading into the final weekend of the 2020 WNBA season the final playoff spot remains undecided as the Chicago Sky (12-10) held off the Dallas Wings (7-14), 95-88. With this result and their 82-75 win over the Connecticut Sun (10-12), the Atlanta Dream (7-14) kept their playoff chances alive. After losing 83-60 to the Seattle Storm (18-3), the Phoenix Mercury (13-9) will be the fifth seed.

The 7-13 Washington Mystics don’t have a tiebreaker in their favor but they’re now tied in eighth place with the Dallas Wings thanks to clutch shots from Myisha Hines-Allen that sunk the 15-6 Los Angeles Sparks. Also on Thursday night, the 6-15 Indiana Fever earned a victory over the 2-18 New York Liberty at the free-throw line and the 16-4 Las Vegas Aces went outside their comfort zone to top the 13-8 Minnesota Lynx.
