More Virtual Orange Carpet looks from WNBA Draft 2020

Check out what 2020 draftees wore as they made their #WNBASlay debuts. Hosted by Cappie Pondexter and Kesha McLeod, the Virtual Orange Carpet allowed the future of the league to show off their fashion sense.

The challenges caused by the coronavirus crisis cannot prevent the soon-to-be stars of the WNBA from slaying their draft day.

In anticipation of the 2020 WNBA Draft, league legend Cappie Pondexter and celebrity stylist Kesha McLeod, who has worked with the likes of Serena Williams and James Harden, hosted the Orange Carpet Live on @WNBA Instagram Live, dishing on the fashionable fits worn by the league’s future stars.

As pioneered by Pondexter, a player’s off-court style is just as essential as her on-court style. Via the virtual orange carpet, draftees entered the WNBA’s fashion ranks, showing off their inaugural #WNBASlay entry.

Here are the highlights, according to Pondexter and McLeod:

On a WNBA Instagram story, Lauren Cox (No. 3, Indiana Fever), asked fans to help her decide between a blue or black dress. Fans wanted the Baylor Lady Bear to go with the blue, although Pondexter expressed that she would have loved to see Cox in black.

Te’a Cooper (No. 18, Baylor) received rave reviews from Pondexter on her elegant evening-gown ensemble.

McLeod loved Beatrice Mompremier’s overall “embossed” look. The Miami Hurricane post was selected No. 20 overall by the Los Angeles Sparks.

However, McLeod reserved her top spot for Megan Walker (No. 9, New York Liberty), who sported a business causal mustard yellow suit. Pondexter also suggested she “slayed” with the color choice.
