A’ja Wilson was on the winning side at last year’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game but 2020 presented a different outcome for the WNBA star.
On Friday, Chelsea Gray teamed up with rapper/activist Common on Team Wilbon and walloped Wilson, Chance The Rapper and the rest of Team Stephen A., 62-47.
Even the pink-and-green uniforms resembling the colors of Wilson’s sorority couldn’t conjure enough magic for a win. The two-time WNBA All-Star appears to be taking it all in stride.
“At the end of the day, we’re all winners, right?” A’ja Wilson said.
On Saturday, Buddy Hield successfully repeated for the NBA All-Star 3-Point Title, with 27 points.
Allie Quigley, who fired for 29 points at 2018 WNBA All-Star weekend, retains the record for most points scored in the 3-Point Contest in WNBA or NBA history.
The 69th NBA All-Star Game pits Team LeBron (James) against Team Giannis (Antetokounmpo) on Sunday, Feb. 16. Tipoff is at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
