Preview: Sun take on Wings to decide season series in Wednesday’s only game

The Connecticut Sun and the Dallas Wings have each beaten each other this season. Their final matchup will decide the season series.

With three games to play, the Connecticut Sun have the chance to secure a top-two seed in the playoffs, guaranteeing the Sun home-court advantage in the semifinals. The Dallas Wings may be eliminated, but are playing hard and look to close out the season on a positive note.

The Sun own a 14-1 home record, the best in the league. Their sole loss was nearly two months ago against the Minnesota Lynx. The Wings have lost four of their last five games, but their last win occurred on the road against the Chicago Sky, just their second road win of the season.

Dallas beat Connecticut earlier in the season, but the game took place on the Wings’ home court. Their second matchup took place in Connecticut and it was an easy victory for the Sun.

The Sun have the advantage, but the Wings are pretty unpredictable. Seven of the 10 wins for the Wings have come against teams that will be in the playoffs. This game has the potential to be very close, especially with all the pressure on the Sun to secure a top-two seed.

These two will need to be on top of their games to seal the victory for their teams.
