Valerie Still and Ticha Penicheiro are among those selected for induction into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame

The 2019 inductees were chosen from a pool of 12 finalists and announced during tonight’s ESPN2 broadcast of the Baylor-Texas #Big12 matchup.

Of 12 finalists for possible induction into the Women’s Basketball of Hall of Fame, the selection committee chose the following stalwarts of women’s basketball for induction in the 2019 class:

  • Beth Bass
  • Joan Cronan
  • Nora Lynn Finch
  • Ticha Penicheiro
  • Ruth Riley
  • Carolyn Bush Roddy
  • Valerie Still

The inductees were announced during tonight’s ESPN2 broadcast of the Baylor-Texas Big 12 matchup. The other finalists were:

  • Debbie Brock
  • Lucille Kyvallos
  • Paul Sanderford
  • Bob Schneider
  • Amy Tucker

The new class will be inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame on June 8, 2019 in Knoxville, Tenn.
