Injuries and absences: For the Lynx, Lynetta Kizer is questionable due to a back injury. For the Sparks, Maria Vadeeva has not yet reported to the team, while Jantel Lavender is still overseas.

What to watch

Will Candace Parker take her anger out on the court? The Sparks forward expressed disappointment that she has to see the Lynx players receive their championship rings before the game. She sees only one remedy for such a situation: Go out and outplay Minny.

How will the Minnesota starting lineup fare without much time together in the preseason? Many Lynx players did not have a full opportunity to be in training camp due to overseas commitments. So, can they “pick things up on the fly” and ride off the momentum of a ring ceremony toward the team’s first victory of the 2018 WNBA season?
