Washington Mystics sign center Jessica Moore

Today, the Washington Mystics signed 6'4" center Jessica Moore who is a nine year WNBA veteran from Connecticut. Last year she played 16 games, eight for the Connecticut Sun and eight for the Atlanta Dream and averaged less than two points a game and a little over a rebound a game.

Unless there is a post player on the roster right now that Coach Thibault doesn't really like at all from training camp, I don't know if Moore is a lock for the opening day roster or not. That said, should Moore be on the opening night roster, if my calculation is correct (feel free to say I'm wrong if it is), the Mystics would have a Connecticut alum on the roster for the first time since 2003 when Asjha Jones was a backup power forward for the team.
