The No. 3 Oregon Ducks led wire-to-wire in their 80-66 win over the No. 7 UCLA Bruins. This marks the 11th straight win for the Ducks, having not lost since Jan. 10. For UCLA, it is its first home loss and its third Pac-12 loss of the season.
How it happened
The Ducks built a 20-point lead by halftime and cruised the rest of the way. The Bruins cut the lead to 10 points with two minutes left in the final quarter, but never seriously challenged the Ducks. UCLA played a pretty clean game — just eight turnovers — and won the offensive rebounding battle 17-13.
However, UCLA could just not hit shots, finishing at 36.9 percent from the floor and just 2-of-23 from beyond the arc. The Ducks, on the other hand, shot 55.2 percent from the floor. The Ducks were 6-of-15 on 3-pointers, which ended a five-game streak of attempting at least 20 shots from deep.
Dynamic duo
Ruthy Hebard led the Ducks with her twelfth double-double of the year, pouring in 30 points and 17 rebounds — her second 30-point game of the season. Sabrina Ionescu scored 18 points and contributed eight assists and seven rebounds. Ionescu becomes the fifth women’s college basketball player with 1,000 assists, and just the second college basketball player with 2,000 points and 1,000 assists.

On the losing side, Michaela Onyenwere led her team with 23 points, marking her third straight game (and twelfth on the season) with at least 20 points.
