The 2019 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament champion will be crowned Sunday. Here’s who advanced from the Friday night lights of this year’s Final Four:

Baylor Lady Bears advance with 72-67 win over the Oregon Ducks

Oregon Ducks guard Sabrina Ionescu rode into the Final Four matchup against Baylor on the momentum of receiving her second Nancy Lieberman Award — an award reserved for the top point guard in the country. With the Ducks making their first-ever appearance in the Final Four, people expected a lot out of this feisty, confident team. And, boy, did they deliver — tying the game and leading repeatedly, giving the Bears a challenge. But Baylor extended the lead in final minutes and Ducks ran out of time to counter.

Baylor center Kalani Brown was the game-high scorer with 22 points and her center sister Lauren Cox scored 21.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeat UConn Huskies, 81-76

In similar fashion to the night’s early Final Four match, UConn-Notre Dame was a tight battle for much of the game, but with neither team playing to their capabilities and the Huskies, especially, under-performing by missing a ton of shots they normally make. With the game tied with eight minutes left in regulation, the Fighting Irish clamped down defensively and extended the lead to a seven-point advantage. Notre Dame did enough to advance to Sunday’s championship game for the second straight year, making their title defense a reality. UConn, meanwhile, returns to Storrs heartbroken after losing in the semifinals for the third straight year.
