Baylor is your 2019 Big 12 Tournament champion.

Iowa State fought hard, down just four going into the final quarter. But an outstanding defensive performance by the Lady Bears would hold the Cyclones to just five points in the final frame, sealing a 67-49 victory for Baylor.

All night, Baylor relied heavily on Kalani Brown, Lauren Cox and Chloe Jackson. Each played over 35 minutes and combined for 47 points.

Baylor led by five points after the first quarter and maintained it at the half.

The third quarter was the highest scoring of the game, 19-18 in favor of Iowa State, cutting Baylor’s lead to four (50-46). But Iowa State would make just two baskets in the fourth quarter as the Bears owned the paint, outscoring the Cyclones 10-0. Not surprisingly, Baylor outscored Iowa State in the paint 42-22.

Coming up

Baylor looks to be a No. 1 seed and should be playing in Waco once the committee has its say. Iowa State is projected to be a No. 4 seed, but this performance could see them slide down to a No. 5 seed.
