The Creighton Bluejays are trying to right the ship after a rough 4-5 start to their regular season. Though their record is below .500, Creighton won three of their last four games before a 71-52 loss to the Florida State Seminoles last Sunday. Audrey Faber leads Creighton scorers, averaging 16.8 points and 3.2 assists per game. South Florida, on the other hand, has had a strong season overall and the Bulls haven’t had a truly bad loss all season. Redshirt senior wing Laura Ferreira is averaging 16.1 points and 4.3 assists per game this season.
Unlike some other early-season showcases, the winner of this game is not advancing a round to play against a yet-to-be-determined opponent. The Florida Sunshine Classic is an early regular-season exhibition. Creighton will play Vanderbilt on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET while South Florida will play Virginia on Friday at 4 p.m. ET.
