Megan O'Brien is a sports broadcaster and student-athlete in the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. At Northwestern, Megan has served as an anchor, sports broadcaster and sideline reporter for a variety of university and Big Ten productions. Outside of Northwestern, Megan has worked closely with sports in numerous settings including as an intern at Fox News Chicago and as a field reporter for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. While pursuing her internship with Fox, Megan assisted with media coverage of the 2013 Stanley Cup. The following summer in Cape Cod, Megan interviewed rising stars in the collegiate baseball world and hosted a weekly local TV show reviewing team performance. In addition to her broadcasting pursuits, Megan has been an active member of the Northwestern Women's Cross Country team and has gained honors within the Big Ten Conference for sportsmanship and academics.
