The EuroLeague Women Final Four is finally here! Europe’s top women’s professional basketball title will be decided this weekend in Sopron, Hungary, with four teams looking to bring home the title!
All EuroLeague Women Final Four Games can be streamed for free on FIBA’s YouTube channel.
Third Place Game: USK Praha (Czech Republic) vs. Sopron Basket (Hungary)
- When: Sunday, April 14, at 11:30 a.m. ET
- Notable WNBA Players: For USK Praha, their WNBA players are Alyssa Thomas (Sun), Isabelle Harrison (Aces) and Leticia Romero (Wings). Sopron has WNBA players Amanda Zahui B. (Liberty), Yvonne Turner (Mercury) and Candice Dupree (Fever).
- Notes: Though both teams lost their semifinals games, USK Praha and Sopron Basket can take pride — they made things interesting for their deeper (and better-funded) foes in the first half. Since Sopron is hosting the game, expect them to have the edge for third place later tonight.
Championship game: UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia) vs. Dynamo Kursk (Russia)
- When: Sunday, April 14, at 2:30 p.m. ET
- Notable WNBA Players: UMMC has Kayla McBride (Aces), Courtney Vandersloot (Sky), Brittney Griner (Mercury), Maria Vadeeva (Sparks) and Emma Meesseman (Mystics). For Dynamo Kursk, they have Epiphanny Prince (Liberty), Breanna Stewart (Storm) and Natasha Howard (Storm).
- Notes: This is a prelude of the Russian PBL Finals which begin on April 20. But for now, both teams will look to punch their automatic ticket to next year’s EuroLeague Women competition outright. Though UMMC is the deeper team in this contest, Dynamo Kursk has the best all-around women’s basketball player in Breanna Stewart. Though UMMC should be considered slight favorites in this match, Stewart could still be the Final Four MVP even if her team ultimately loses.
