Wilson beat out Louisville guard Asia Durr, Oregon guard Sabrina Ionescu, and UConn forwards Gabby Williams and Katie Lou Samuelson who were finalists.
Friday was a big day for Wilson, who also projects to be the top overall pick in next week’s WNBA Draft. Here were some highlights, where she played a cameo on a General Hospital-esque video:
Took pictures with TNT analyst and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
And she even did a little coaching.
First of ✌️ coaching opportunities for @_ajawilson22 at @WoodenAward weekend in the books. Took the L but worked the sideline and encouraged her team like @dawnstaley! #Gamecocks pic.twitter.com/E0iz7YGxsx— GamecockWBB (@GamecockWBB) April 6, 2018
With the college season now officially behind us, let’s see where Wilson gets drafted next week.
