Seattle Storm drafts Jordin Canada 5th in the 2018 WNBA Draft

The Seattle Storm drafted UCLA guard Jordin Canada 5th in the 2018 WNBA Draft. Canada was one of the top point guard prospects in the class. She led UCLA to three consecutive NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearances, and an Elite Eight berth in the 2018 NCAA women’s basketball tournament. She averaged 17 points and 7.1 assists last season.

In Seattle, she will get mentored by Sue Bird who’s still one of the best point guards in the league, but she needs a successor as well. Hopefully Canada is up to the challenge.
