Phoenix Mercury drafts Marie Gulich 12th in 2018 WNBA Draft

NCAA Womens Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Lexington Regional - Baylor vs Oregon State Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

School: Oregon State

Notable Stats: Other than her 17.5 points per game, 9.1 rebounds per game and 65% clip from the field, Gulich helped lead Oregon State to a 113-21 record in her four seasons.

Position: Center

Height: 6’5”

The German native developed into a nearly unstoppable force down low for the Beavers. She nearly doubled her scoring average from her junior to senior season, which speaks volumes about her grit and work ethic. Gulich is wicked smart and has etched her name into Oregon State history as one of the all-time greats.

She’s somewhat of a late bloomer, but has clearly developed her game with time and a lot of extra work. Gulich seems to be somewhat of a sleeper with obvious talent. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if it took her a year or two before a ‘breakout’ season in the WNBA.
