After six seasons, Boston College head coach Erik Johnson has resigned, according to the university.

“Erik has put his heart and soul into leading our women’s basketball program and we appreciate his years of service,” Director of Athletics Martin Jarmond said. “We wish him and his family the best in all of their future endeavors.”

“Boston College has been a special place to be associated with and I am thankful for the opportunity to coach at The Heights,” said Johnson. “The future of this team is so bright with all five of the team’s leading scorers returning next year. Thank you to our players, coaches and staff for all of their hard work and sacrifice over the years to help grow our program.”

Johnson went 68-115 in his tenure with the Eagles and 19-77 in the ACC.
