To nobody’s surprise, Geno Auriemma’s UConn Huskies earned the top seed in the Albany region. They’ll take on NEC champions St. Francis in Pennsylvania before a possible in-state matchup with Quinnipiac, the 9-seed who will be taking on Miami.
UConn’s AAC counterparts in South Florida are also in this bracket, but the Huskies’ biggest competition in this region will come from 2-seed South Carolina, the reigning national champions.
