The Dallas Wings have re-signed forward Kayla Thornton for the 2018 season the team announced today. Thornton proved her value to the Wings this past season by becoming a strong piece of the second unit.

She averaged 6.6 points per game and was a consistent presence on the glass, averaging 3.3 rebounds per game. Not only was her 2017 campaign strong for Dalla, but her overseas play with the S-Birds in the Korean Basketball League. Thornton surpassed expectations this off-season, scoring 20+ points in back-to-back games for the S-Birds, and has surely proved why she belongs in a Wings jersey.
