Waterworks are in the air as Seton Hall is now Fountain-less, as their leading scorer and rebounder is no longer a part of the women’s basketball team.
The program made this huge announcement on Sunday that Donnaizha Fountain will not return this season, and there has yet to be a reason provided for her abrupt departure after playing 19 games as a Pirate, as reported by the Setonian.
The six-foot-transfer from Temple and Georgia Tech led the team in minutes, points and also in rebounds per game, with her 15.5 points per game ranked seventh in the Big East. Her 7.4 rebounds per game were overall the sixth highest in the conference.
The loss of Fountain leaves a major hole in Seton Hall’s current roster. The Pirates now only have one scorer who averages double-digit points per game (10.7), JaQuan Jackson.
