Candi Whitaker has been fired by Texas Tech, according to multiple reports and confirmed by its Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt. Her firing was first reported by Pete Christy.

The firing of Whitaker comes a few days after her top assistant Melanie Balcomb resigned from her position.
