The greatest basketball player on the planet, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, is currently in Asia on his Strive for Greatness basketball tour. And during his recent visit to the Philippines, James stated in an interview how much he truly loves women’s basketball and the play of some of the WNBA’s biggest stars:
“Now, just watching Diana Taurasi and watching Sue Bird, watching Elena Delle Donne, just to name a few – those are some great inspirations,” he said.
“Those are some great players who will inspire the next female baller that will come up and play, so I appreciate what they do," he added. “I love the game of basketball," he said. "So it doesn't matter if you're a male or a female (player). I love to watch the game of basketball.”
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that James, who is a true basketball officianado and has constantly opined about playing the game the right way, appreciates women’s basketball — and some of the WNBA’s greats.
