Before the 2017 season started, DeWanna Bonner announced she was taking the year off from playing for Phoenix as she was pregnant.
Bonner recently gave birth to not one, but two babies. With the birth of the girls, she becomes a first-time mom, along with her wife Candice Dupree who plays for the Indiana Fever.
The Fever traveled to Connecticut today for a game, however, Dupree did not travel the Sun commentating crew said before the game as she “stayed home to be with her wife and new babies.”
Rookie Erica McCall, also plays for Indiana and is a younger sister to Bonner. While at the gym Thursday, McCall ran off the court exclaiming her excitement of her older sister being in labor.
