After a tough loss at home today, Indiana was hit with more bad news: Shenise Johnson will be out the rest of the season with an ACL tear.
Tuesday during practice, Johnson tore her left ACL, which sidelined her today during the Fever’s game against San Antonio.
During her 14 games this year, Johnson averaged 11.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, making her the third highest scorer for Indiana. The Fever will also lose one of its best free-throw shooters as Johnson was second in the league shooting 95% from the charity stripe.
Johnson is expected to return for the 2018 WNBA season and make a full recovery.
