It was the middle of May that news broke rising star Te’a Cooper was leaving Tennessee to play elsewhere. After weeks of searching, she has decided she will be transferring to South Carolina, as announced via her Twitter.

Cooper only played one season with the Lady Vols (in 2015) after missing all last year to rehab her left knee from an injury. As a freshman at Tennessee Cooper made the Coaches SEC All-Freshman team. She averaged 8.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, dished out 74 assists and had 43 steals in 2015.

Due to NCAA Divison 1 rules, Cooper will not play this year for the defending champions, however, will have three years starting the season of 2018-2019.
