The Atlanta Dream announced today, that they’ve waived Rachel Hollivay and Brianna Kiesel.

Hollivay, the 6-4 center who played in seven games and started one for the Dream, was in her second season for the team. She averaged 1.3 for both points and rebounds per game. Kiesel, a 5-7 guard out of Pittsburgh, had played in nine games during her first season with Atlanta. She averaged 1.6 points and 1.0 assists per game.

Although Atlanta dropped two players today, they will be regaining one more this week through veteran forward Sancho Lyttle, who is competing for Team Spain in the EuroBasket Tournament. Lyttle will be returning to the Dream this week after being temporarily suspended while playing overseas.

Williams sick

In other news down south, Dallas Wings head coach, Fred Williams, will not be attending his team’s matchup tonight against the Connecticut Sun. According to a team press release, Williams is ill. He will be replaced by Assistant Coach Bridget Pettis.

Connecticut’s Morgan Tuck (knee contusion) and Lynetta Kizer (back) are both out today due to injury.
