For the past six games, New York has been without its starting guard Epiphanny Prince. Prince was playing for Russia in the EuroBasket Women’s Tournament. The Liberty announced today she is back and Cierra Burdick has been waived from the team.
During her five games with New York before departing overseas, Prince was averaging 15.8 points per game and 3.8 assists per game. Already this season Prince has been named the WNBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week (May 30).
The Liberty return to action tomorrow against Connecticut – the only team New York lost to while Prince was abroad.
