With the advances of social media in the world, it is easy to find out what is going on with anybody. It is a good platform to inform a ton of people at one time what is going on with your life.

For Jenna Staiti she used her Twitter account – like many have been doing this offseason – to announce she will be returning home to finish her collegiate playing career at the University of Georgia.

It is a big homecoming for Staiti as she attended West Forsyth High School in Cumming, GA. Her senior year she was voted the Gatorade Player of the Year in Georgia in 2016. Her accolades out of high school did not stop there as she was also named the Atlanta Tip-Off Club’s Miss Georgia Basketball her senior season.

This past season, Staiti played at Maryland as a freshman where she averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, as well as 14 blocks on the year. Staiti saw time in 25 games where she averaged 5.6 mintues per game.

With the addition of Staiti, Georgia also added Louisville transfer Taja Cola this offseason. Staiti will sit out this upcoming season due to NCAA Divison 1 transfer rules but will have three seasons to play for the Lady Bulldogs.
