This off-season has been full of players transferring for various reasons. Tori McCoy announced last month she was leaving Ohio State, despite having a strong year. In fact, McCoy was a Big Ten All-Freshman selection.
Via a Twitter announcement, Tim McCoy announced his daughter would be transferring to Marquette. Per NCAA Division 1 transfer rules, McCoy will sit out the 2017-2018 season and once eligible will have three years to play for the Golden Eagle.
For the Buckeyes, McCoy averaged 8.1 points per game, 5.9 rebounds and blocked a team-high 59 shots last season.
Thanks to all who were interested. A selection has been made, and Tori McCoy will be a Golden Eagle at Marquette University.
