Atlanta is ‘going to win a championship’ declares Cooper

The Dream owned three picks in the draft and chose Brittney Sykes of Syracuse with the seventh pick in the first round.

Atlanta, GA — In last night's WNBA Draft, the Atlanta Dream owned three picks, including the seventh pick in the first round.

They selected Brittney Sykes of Syracuse, Jordan Reynolds of Tennessee, and Oderah Chidom of Duke.

Head Coach Michael Cooper thinks that their depth is what sets not only these picks, but the Dream apart from other franchises.

"We are going to win a championship, okay?" Cooper told fans at the Dream's Draft watch party. "I think we're developing a very good basketball team that [fans] can be proud of."

The quest for that championship starts on May 21 when the Dream tip-off in their new home, Georgia Tech's McCamish Pavillion, versus the Chicago Sky.
