FAU fires head coach Kelly Lewis-Jay

Boca Raton, Florida— Florida Atlantic University is looking for a new coach to helm the women’s basketball program.

On Monday, FAU announced via a release that Kelly Lewis-Jay had been “relieved of her duties.”

Lewis-Jay has been the Owls head coach since May of 2012. In her five seasons, she posted a .415 winning percentage, with her teams going 73-103.

“Kellie, her staff and her teams have represented Florida Atlantic University exceptionally well in the classroom and in the community,” said Pat Chun, FAU’s Vice President and Director of Athletics.

“We thank her for her five years of service leading our women’s basketball program.”
