Per reports, the next head coach for Pepperdine will be WNBA All-Star, DeLisha Milton-Jones.
Milton-Jones succeeds Ryan Weisenberg who was released from his duties as the Waves head coach earlier this month.
Last season was Milton-Jones’ first years as an assistant after spending 15 seasons in the WNBA.
In a press release from the university, Milton-Jones expressed her gratitude for her new job:
“I first and foremost want to thank God for this wonderful opportunity. I also want to thank President Benton, Dr. Steve Potts and Karina Herold for entrusting me with such a prestigious honor of being captain of this ship. I am honored and excited to be the person to take this program to new heights.”
