The future is looking positive for Auburn, as head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy has signed a contract extension for the next couple of seasons.
According to the Opelika-Auburn News, Williams-Flournoy’s contract has been extended until 2018-2019 season. When she first joined the Tigers, her contract was signed from 2012 until this season, but over the summer received the extension.
Back in her first season with Auburn, Williams-Flournoy had a base pay of $225,000 and made $325,000 in bonuses for a total of $550,000 a year, a university spokesman told the Opelika-Auburn News. Now, she will be making $600,000 with a breakdown of her base pay being $250,000, plus $350,000 in incentives for a grand total of $600,000 per year.
Last season, Williams-Flournoy led Auburn to its first NCAA tournament since 2009.
