Seven months after winning their first-ever NCAA championship, the South Carolina Gamecocks received an invite from President Donald Trump.
Well @POTUS invited @GamecockWBB to White House for NCAA celebration tomorrow and they declined

The catch: the invitation was for this coming Friday, as part of the White House' NCAA celebration, and they received the invite earlier this month.
South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley, who has spoken multiple times on the matter, only had the following to say:
"We did hear from the White House about attending tomorrow's event, but we will not be able to attend. As I've been saying since our practices started for the season, all of our focus is on the season ahead. The only invitation we are thinking about is to the 2018 NCAA Tournament."
Staley has always been a class act. This was no exception.
