Chicago, IL -- The DePaul Blue Demons sought revenge after their upset loss to Northern Colorado last Friday, which dropped them out of the AP top 25 rankings.
On Monday night, they got it, upsetting the No. 22 Oklahoma Sooners 111-108 in a dramatic overtime win.
An impressive 219 points were scored in Monday night’s battle as DePaul's Amarah Coleman and Ashton Millender scored 44 of those points collectively.
Oklahoma's Vionise Pierre-Louis played as big as her commanding 6'4" height, finishing the night with an impressive double-double. As the tallest player on the court, Pierre-Louis put up 25 points and added 16 boards.
The last time these two teams met, they combine for the highest-scoring game in NCAA Tournament history (204). Both teams did not disappoint tonight as 194 shots were taken, 55 of which came from behind the arc. DePaul alone shot 39 threes, banking in 16. The 16th one came in overtime, the most important shot of the night.
