As the movie series ‘Hunger Games’ says, ‘may the odds be ever in your favor.’

Monday evening, live on SportsCenter, the odds of winning the 2018 WNBA overall first pick was in favor of Las Vegas.

With Bill Laimbeer as the new head coach of the newest team in the league (previously the San Antonio Stars), there is now even more excitement coming to the franchise. It is kind of fitting a city known for chances — who also had the best chance to win the No.1 draft pick — will indeed get to pick first in the 2018 WNBA draft in April.

Pokey Chatman and the Indiana Fever will pick second, followed by Amber Stocks and the Chicago Sky picking third and fourth. Chicago received one of its picks via a trade with Atlanta, which took place half way through the 2017 season.

For those teams not in the lottery, the order of the first round of the 2018 draft will be as follows:

5. Seattle

6. Dallas

7. Washington

8. Phoenix

9. Connecticut

10. New York

11. Los Angeles

12. Minnesota
