USC’s Staley: ‘I’m over the White House invitation’

Plenty of reports have been published addressing South Carolina not being invited to the White House since winning the championship in April. Eventually, the news reached the office of United Nations Ambassador and Nikki Haley stated the Gamecocks would be invited “later in the fall.”

One person who is over the invitation to the White House though, is head coach Dawn Staley:

“Here’s my take, and I’m not going to discuss the White House anymore. As far as I’m concerned, I’m over the White House invitation. The only invitation I would like is an invitation to get into the NCAA tournament in March. Other than that, I’m going to focus on my team,” Staley recently told The State.
