Oklahoma State embarrasses Tigers with 64-point drubbing

Oklahoma State hosted East Central Sunday evening for an exhibition game. Thanks to Loryn Goodwin, the Cowgirls had no issues blowing past the Tigers.

The exhibition game winning streak continues for the Oklahoma State Women’s Basketball team, as the Cowgirls defeated the East Central University Tigers 110-46 Sunday night (Oct. 29).

This win marked 22 consecutive exhibition game wins for Oklahoma State. Head Coach Jim Littell was pleased with his team’s performance, and said he was hoping to see the six newcomers play well under pressure.

They did just that.

Newcomer Loryn Goodwin, a transfer from the University of Texas at San Antonio and also last season’s Conference USA Newcomer of the Year, was very comfortable on the floor for the Cowgirls. In fact, she led all scorers with 21 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.

“The main thing I wanted to see was were we going to play hard and continue to play hard,” Littell said. “And I felt like we did that.”

Oklahoma State will look to carry this momentum into its first official game of the 2017-2018 campaign, on Nov. 10 when Incarnate Word comes to town.
