With the 2017 offseason underway, free agency in full swing, and trades certain to transpire, there is going to be a plethora of transactions in the coming months. And one rumored blockbuster deal that’s being worked on, which will send Chicago Sky forward Elena Delle Donne being sent to Washington.
The 6-foot-5 Delle Donne has made it no secret, that her time in Chicago is up, and that she’s looking for a fresh start. She even stated, that she would be willing to sit out the entire 2017 season in order to force a trade.
Multiple sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, have informed Swish Appeal that Delle Donne will be traded to Washington, for presumably the Mystics’ first-round pick (No. 2) in this year’s WNBA Draft, and All-Star center Stefanie Dolson.
That’s the foundation of the trade, as there are some other logistics to finish before this deal is complete — but that’s the gist of the trade.
