Yesterday, during Michigan State’s game against Illinois, the Michigan State head coach Suzy Merchant collapsed on the sidelines. After being helped off the court by the team’s medical staff, she was later admitted to a local hospital.
The Associated Press announced Merchant had been released from the hospital after only staying overnight. During her stay, she underwent precautionary test.
At the moment, it is unclear if Merchant will return to the sidelines for Michigan State’s next game, as the Spartans play Wednesday at Purdue.
