A couple days ago, a vicious fight broke out during the Utah State and UNLV game.

Today, the Mountain West Conference suspended three players for their involvement in the fight, and six players were reprimanded for leaving their respective benches during the brawl, as reported by USA Today.

For Utah State, Antoina Robinson was suspended for being ejected from the contest, as well as UNLV’s Katie Powell who also was ejected from the game. Paris Strawther, also a Lady Rebel, received a one-game suspension for her participation in the fight.

Powell, along with the other players who left their bench during the altercation, all received public reprimands, as they violated the league’s sportsmanship rules. Powell received hers for the comments she had following the game.

It is also to be noted, the Mountain West informed all parties in the future, that if there happens to be any other unsportsmanlike like behavior, the consequences will be “more stringent disciplinary measures.”
