DePaul is only two games into conference play and they have taken a big hit with the loss of Ms. Do-it-all, Jessica January.
The Blue Demons announced a couple days ago, January will be undergoing surgery on Tuesday to repair her broken right index finger. The team stated following her surgery an update will be given on January’s status.
This loss will hurt DePaul, as January — the Big East preseason player of the year — is currently leading the Blue Demons in points, assists and steals per game, as well as second on the team in rebounds.
January first hurt her finger in DePaul’s game last Wednesday against Georgetown — a game the Blue Demons won 76-53 to open Big East play.
Currently, the university has not disclosed how long January will be out for.
