Another award was announced by the league today, as Sylvia Fowles was named Defensive Player of the Year. This is the third time in her career she has won the award, as she won in 2011 and 2013.

The Minnesota Lynx are one of the top -rated defensive teams in the league, so it is no surprise that one of their players would win defensive player of the year.
