A familiar name is back with the New York Liberty, as the team announced today that they have re-signed veteran forward Swin Cash for the rest of this season.
"It's wonderful to finally be back on the court with my teammates," said Cash. "I feel great physically and I'm looking forward to contributing to this young team, both on and off the court. As one of the charter teams of the WNBA, which is celebrating its' 20th Anniversary, I think it's going to be a great year for the New York Liberty and I'm happy to be part of that!"
"The New York Liberty is extremely fortunate Swin Cash will continue to be a valued member of our franchise and has decided to return to play for the remainder of the 2016 season," said Liberty President Isiah Thomas.
"The sacrifice Swin made in order to help the Liberty put the best possible team on the court this year, while also building toward our future, is reflective of her leadership, why she is the consummate teammate, and respected as one of the greatest to play the game."
Before the season started, shockwaves were sent around the women's basketball world when Cash was waived by the Liberty.
