Head coach and general manager of the Washington Mystics Mike Thibault announced the Mystics would be without starting guard Ivory Latta for approximately four to six weeks.
Latta is having an arthroscopic surgery in her right knee to repair a lateral meniscus tear.
"The Mystics organization has been very supportive and I have already started therapy," said Latta. "I am excited for the upcoming season and can't wait to be healthy for this team and the fans."
Thiabult stated on her injury:
"We expect that Ivory will be able to play sometime in the first month of the regular season. "It was a fairly simple procedure and she has already started her rehab. The most important thing is Ivory's health. We know she will do all the work necessary to be ready to play again at a high level when she does return."
