After sitting out a huge chunk of the year last season, Sylvia Fowles inked a deal with Minnesota to play with them after the All-Star break. After helping the Lynx win the championship -- which she was named the Finals MVP -- Fowles has re-signed with Minnesota the team announced today.
Also staying in Minnesota is Renee Montgomery who the Lynx traded for from Seattle last season; she originally was drafted to the Lynx as the fourth overall pick in 2009. In her rookie year, Montgomery was named to the Adidas All-Rookie Team.
Minnesota has been making moves early this offseason in the free agent signing period. They traded Devereaux Peters for Natasha Howard in a sign-and-trade deal with Indiana.
