Eleanna Christinaki, a sophomore guard for Florida, quit the team this past Sunday after she would not accept the punishment for an unspecified “violation of team culture,” per reports from the Alligator.
On Sunday Christianaki was suspended for the first half of the game against North Carolina A&T which she refused to accept as punishment resulting in her leaving the team.
This loss of Christianki is a blow to Florida as she has been the team’s leading scorer thus far this season after averaging 17.6 points per game. She also played the most minutes for the team, led the team in three-point field goals made and free-throws made.
