Pokey Chatman will be named the new head coach of the Indiana Fever, according to multiple sources.
Last month, Chatman was surprisingly fired by the Chicago Sky after six seasons with the franchise. During her time with the Sky, she led her team to an overall record of 106-98 record. Thanks to Chatman, the Chicago franchise saw its first-ever playoff appearance (2013), as well as making it to the WNBA Finals the following year (2014).
This past season, Chatman led the Sky to the semi-finals without former MVP, Elena Delle Donne playing after being sidelined with a thumb injury. Chicago would go on to finish the season with an overall record of 18-16, being knocked out of the playoffs by the 2016 WNBA Champs, the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Fever have a press conference scheduled for tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
